Developing of Central Character- Continuation
I have decided to have a Ghost Charachter, as a narrator.
The setting would be IIT Madras(for obvious reasons..I know only this IIT and all there lingo).
I would have four characters : whose life I would be tracking in this book. These people would be from different parts of India
Characters profile: He would be a Computer Science grad from Tamil Nadu( a tam)
A gult in mechanical Engineering
yet another gult in Chemical ( for obvious reasons of having fun)
A guy from a village in Bihar in Civil ( I couldnt leave Civil...it has been my supporter for four years. this would be my way of repaying those BSB buildings)
I would have them in hostel called Alak. I know this hostel and I can relate to all floors and mess and Common room, carrom room, SAC Night Canteen...Mess room behind and Garden.
Lets give these characters some names rather nicknames: ( I cant think of them now. So I am leaving this for suggestions. For Now they would be A, B, C, D).
Room number 268: A and B
Room number 267 for C and D
(My memory of room numbers is good :)) )
Now for the important thing : Girlfriends in this Book : None of these Characters have a girlfriend. they have been slogging all there life and end up without a girlfriend till now.
As for they being smart/handsome looking... I would play around with Characters.
None too fat. None too smart handsome looking. All avarage Indians..of heights varying from 5.4 to 6.0ft
some athletic and some....
So this is the development for today.

what would you do so that it does't look that you aren't inspired from the book "five point someone".
I am ready for such crticisms. I would say that the author should feel proud his book is an inspiration to others.

Dixie I too feel sad that I havent had your referece, but then if i put you in the book, you would capture the whole space,
you have almost fought for every girl in this universe (though you haven't got one yet).
As for Catoor, his attempts to get girlfriend both school and college can be used nicely and with restricted amount. It is just about book and nothing personal
